A shy bird and little known to the general public. Measuring about 11 centimeters, the male of the species has a bluish gray plumage, with a brownish spot on the underside of the tail, very characteristic of the species. The female, in turn, is greenish, without the brown spot of the male. They usually stay in the trees, in couples or in small groups. They feed on insects and caterpillars, which they look for in the foliage. They can be seen occasionally in the trees of the Campus of Praia Vermelha.
