The most common species of gull in the country. It has a white body, black wings and a yellow beak. He has webbed feet, which help him swim. It measures about 45 centimeters and, despite living in coastal areas, it is generalist, feeding not only on fish, but also on organic residues and various prey. It can be seen occasionally flying over the Praia Vermelha campus.
